Getting Back Up…

Hey hey, world. Welcome back :))))

I’m sitting here looking out of my snowy (but more freezing than snowy) window. I should be at school, but there’s a two hour delay. Why? I have no idea.

Yesterday, I got turned away from an opportunity. *spoiler alert: It was about music* I had worked so hard and tried to achieve it, but I didn’t. At first, I was pretty heartbroken. The kind of heartbroken where you feel like a big blubbery lump (a term I use a lot when things don’t go my way haha).

When this happens to you, you can do two things. Sit there like a big lump or get off your butt and shake it off. That’s what I decided to do (with the help of  one of my mom’s famous speeches).

The truth is, I wasn’t ready. If I was ready, It would have happened. I needed to grow first, figure out who I am. Because there’s no way you’re going to connect with the world if you can’t even connect with yourself. I wouldn’t have learned that if I didn’t get this “no.”

Every step, no matter how small, is a step closer to where you want to be. You just have to try, and that’s always something you can do. I believe in you (because no one is a lump).

Understanding the World

It feels soo amazing to finally start this blog!

I’m here in this little corner of the internet because I want to help whoever is reading this understand the world. You could say I’m, well, “tested”? I guess the point is that I’ve been through a lot of craziness (but we’ll get into that soon). I’m a high schooler who loves to be busy, laugh and talk for hours with people who I feel like I’ve known forever, sit and write songs with candles on, and eat amazing (healthy and organic haha) food. I’m a singer/songwriter/musician (and I can also play a handy verse of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” on the harmonica).I have huge dreams, but I guess one of the things that makes me different is that I have faith I can achieve them (I’m pretty sure I got that trait from my amazing mom <3).

But on this blog, it’s not going to be ALL about the music. That’s what my upcoming youtube channel is for 😉 Here, it’s gonna be about life, my day, and just like I said, understanding the world.

I hope you enjoy reading about life as Leeza 🙂
